  1. Fill - filling in self-contained parts with material.

Fill in inside the set range of colors in view of the frozen surface.

 

13.1. If you call a command "Fill" you will see slider which can specify values of a difference of the colors used for filling:



13.2. You will see the additional menu too:

If you switch on «Fill by freeze» and choose one of type of modulation then you will see  such menu:


 

The surface will be filled by freezing instead of filling by color.

Slider ''Freeze degree'' - The maximum freeze values.

 

13.3. If you switch on  ''Lines mode'' nd choose one of type of modulation then you will see  such menu:


 

Lines mode - during the filling you should set 2 points. The vector between them is called mail axe. If you have chosen "gradient filling" then the surface will be filled with color gradient from current color to secondary. If pen radius differs in starting and final point then modulation scale will smoothly change from start to final point.

 

Fill with gradient In this case the surface will be filled with color gradient - from current color to secondary. Other vice only current color will be used

 

Use in other tools If this option chosen then modulation will be applied in other tools, for text, curves, usual painting

 

13.5. There are 16 types of modulations:


For everyone modulation corresponds sphere which are shown in figure:


 

 

-        without modulation (the filling will be done without additional modulation)

-        Noise (noise Random)

-         Gaussian noise (gaussian noise)

-        Wavy surface (wavy surface y=sin(x))

-        Strips (strips that are normal to the main axe)

-        Saw (saw-like shape)

-        Hexagon (the hexagonal grid will be used like a volume texture)

-        Random spheres (the space filled with random spheres will be used like a volume texture)

-        Pores  (like pores on skin)

-        Spots (spatial surface)

-        Fractal N1 (the perlin noise)

-        Fractal N2 (the square of Perlin noise)

-        Fractal N3 (the perlin noise limited by planes)

-        Fractal N4 (cracks) (something like cracks)

-        Fractal wood N1 (the set of distorted planes normal to the view direction)

-        Fractal wood N2 (the set of distorted cylinders with axe from start point to final)

-        Fractal tree N3 (wood with knot)

 

13.6. Depending on the modulation chosen by you in the menu  «Modulation type» you will suggested to change following parameters :

- Amplitude of dispersion – sphere dispersion amplitude against the correct hexagonal grate.

- Distortion degree - the degree of fractal distortions.

- Maximum position - the position of maximum.

- Scale - scale of modulation.

- Anisotropy - the degree of stretching of details along the picked direction. If the direction is not set then it is vertical axe. To specify the direction you should switch to lines mode.

- Width of jag - the relative width of jag.

- Scale of distortion - the scale of fractal distortions.

- Pores size - pores size.

- Spots size - spots size.

- Width of jag - the relative width of jag.

- Cracks width - cracks width.

 

Modulate depth

- Depth modulator  - modulation value.

- Extrusion - the addition extrusion. "-1" means that surface will only press in, "1" - only press out.

 

Modulate color:  select the corresponding color operation and paint with it. Variate opacity to make effect stronger of weakly. Parameters:

- Color preference - this slider determines preference of color usage between colour for convexity and concavity.

- Concavity opacity - concavity opacity modulator.

- Concavity color  - this color corresponds to concavity.

- Convexity opacity - convexity opacity modulator.

- Convexity color - this color corresponds to convexity.

 

Modulate specular: select this option if you want to modulate specular channel. Parameters:

Concavity specular - concavity specular modulator.

Convexity specular - convexity specular modulator.

 

 

 

13.7. Using menu Store/Restore you can store parameters of fill to the a file which by default is in a folder  InstallDir\UserData\StoreData\Fillers\,  load fill parameters from file,  choose early the saving files:

 

13.8. If filling area is a big then you see the warning: 


 

13.9. In this item we shall consider some example with application of a mode «Fill»:

 

l        On this picture we have filled in the certain area with a material. At that  using cube mapping of material. We created freeze sites, and all that is inside is filled in. You will learn about creation of freeze below. Draw attention, that by joint use  line and tool "Fill", can filling ēąļīėķ’ņü closed domains  gradient color, as you can see on the picture below:
